“My life has been a bit like trying to get across a raging river by hopping from rock to rock. You see a stone and you step out...” Denny Doherty

A tribute to the memory of one of the most extraordinary talents in the history of Canadian music. Singer, songwriter, actor and playwright Denny Doherty began singing at 15 when he wowed a crowd with his version of “Love Letters In The Sand.” For the next 50 years he continued to move audiences all around the world to laughter and tears. From his early days with The Halifax III, the heady rock and roll roller coaster that was The Mamas and The Papas, theatrical roles in everything from Shakespeare to “Needfire”, television star turns in “Theodore Tugboat” and “Pit Pony” and his triumphant one man show “Dream A Little Dream”, Denny was a force of nature.

Join his friends for an evening of songs written or performed by Denny Doherty. Artists include: James Anthony, John Alcorn, Melanie and Creighton Doane, Ted Dykstra, David Ferry, Kevin Head, Dana and Pat Lacroix, Robin & Eddy, John Roby, Helen Taylor, Paula Wolfson, Lenore Zann and The Dream Band: Richard Burke, Bobby Edwards, Lisa MacIsaac, Doris Mason, Bill Ransom, and David Smyth.
